Job summary

Intertek Malaysia is seeking a Laboratory Technician based at Kampung Baru Penjom to verify receipt of new calibration machinery, maintain equipment, and ensure all systems operate correctly in line with ISO 17025 and HSE standards.

You will receive and label mineral samples, perform SOP-based drying, crushing and pulverizing, log documentation, monitor spare parts for maintenance, and report discrepancies to supervisors to safeguard quality and safety across the operation.

Qualifications

• Verify receipt of new machines per division parameters.
• Maintain machines to ensure operational readiness.
• Follow ISO 17025 requirements for documentation.
• Adhere to HSE guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Receive, log, and label incoming mineral samples.
• Perform sample drying, crushing, splitting, and pulverizing per SOP.
• Maintain cleanliness and prevent contamination of sample prep equipment.
• Operate crushers, mills, pulverizers safely and efficiently.
• Monitor and order parts for maintenance as needed.

Responsibility and report directly to operational support supervisor

Responsible to verify all receipt of new machines as parameter required by division related

Responsible to maintenance correctly for all machines

Responsible to ensure all machines can be operated properly

Monitor and order parts for maintenances required

Improving knowledge to follow the latest method of calibration and maintenance

Receive, log, and label incoming mineral samples.

Perform sample drying, crushing, splitting, and pulverizing based on standard operating procedures (SOP).

Maintain cleanliness and prevent contamination of sample prep equipment.

Operate machines such as crushers, mills, and pulverizers safely and efficiently.

Report discrepancies or unusual sample conditions to supervisors

Maintain proper documentation and follow ISO 17025 requirements

Adhere to Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) guidelines
