Job summary

CP Manufacturing Sdn Bhd in Malaysia is seeking a Laboratory Chemist to conduct chemical analyses and testing, inspect materials, and support product development. You will help maintain ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and ISO 45001 systems, perform data analysis, and ensure accurate reporting.

Fresh graduates or professionals with a year of lab experience are welcome. The role requires teamwork, strong communication, and attention to quality and safety in a manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Chemistry or related field required.
• Able to apply analytical techniques and instrument-based testing.
• Strong documentation and reporting skills.
• Familiar with QA/QC practices and ISO standards.

Responsibilities

• Conduct chemical analyses and laboratory testing per procedures.
• Inspect raw materials, in-process products, and finished goods.

Conduct chemical analyses and laboratory testing according to established procedures.

Perform inspections on raw materials, in-process products, and finished goods.

Assist in developing and implementing new laboratory testing methods.

Ensure accurate recording and reporting of laboratory results.

Maintain compliance with quality standards and testing protocols.

Research & Development Support

Support formulation development and product improvement initiatives.

Participate in raw material evaluation and validation activities.

Assist with laboratory trials and data analysis for new products.

Quality, Safety & Continuous Improvement

Support the implementation and maintenance of ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 systems.

Participate in internal audits and compliance activities.

Contribute to continuous improvement projects to enhance processes, quality, and efficiency.

Requirements

Bachelor's Degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or a related scientific discipline.

Minimum 1 year of experience in a manufacturing laboratory environment.

Fresh graduates with strong academic knowledge in analytical chemistry are encouraged to apply.

Knowledge of analytical instruments and laboratory testing techniques.

Proficient in Microsoft Office and reporting software.

Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Detail-oriented with a commitment to quality and safety standards.

Able to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.

Preferred Skills

Experience in Quality Assurance (QA) and Quality Control (QC).

Familiarity with ISO management systems.

Experience with chromatography, spectroscopy, or other analytical instruments.

Internal auditing experience will be an added advantage.
