Job summary

Chemical Company of Malaysia Berhad (CCM) invites applications for a Laboratory Technician to join the quality lab in Pasir Gudang, Johor. You will test and report results for incoming, in-process and finished goods, and maintain records in SAP.

Applicants should have a minimum SPM with science subjects, 1–2 years in a related field, and be able to work shifts. Proficiency in SAP, MS Word and Excel is required, with good color vision and strong teamwork and integrity.

Qualifications

• Minimum SPM, preferably with science subjects.
• 1-2 years in relevant field and able to work shifts.
• Knowledge of SAP, MS Word, Excel; able to follow PPE and safety procedures.

Responsibilities

• Test and report incoming, in-process and finished goods results according to instructions.
• Maintain laboratory records and analysis data.
• Communicate quality issues and abnormalities immediately.
• Prepare chemical solutions and standards for ICP-OES instruments.
• Support product testing, evaluations and sample preparation.
• Perform tanker sample analysis before customer dispatch.
• Monitor laboratory equipment and instrumentation.
• Ensure compliance with PPE, safety procedures and legal requirements.
• Record and report data in SAP System.
• Support ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001 and HALAL requirements.
• Participate in 5S activities and maintain cleanliness.
• Perform duties assigned by management and supervisors.

Technical Competencies: Laboratory analytical skills, MS Word, Excel, SAP knowledge, not color blind.

Test and report incoming, in-process and finished goods result according to instructions.

Maintain laboratory records and analysis data.

Communicate quality issues and abnormalities immediately.
