Job summary

F&N AgriValley Sdn Bhd in Gemas, Negeri Sembilan seeks a skilled Lab Analyst to join the quality control team. In this full-time position, you will conduct comprehensive laboratory analyses and tests to ensure product quality and safety across manufactured goods.

You will perform chemical, physical and sensory evaluations, maintain records, calibrate instruments, and collaborate with production to resolve quality issues. Bachelor’s degree and 2–3 years’ relevant experience are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant science discipline (chemistry, food science, or related).
• 2–3 years of lab analyst/quality control experience in manufacturing/food/beverage industries.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
• Proficient with laboratory equipment and instrumentation (spectrophotometers, pH meters, titration systems).
• Excellent data management and record-keeping within quality management systems.

Responsibilities

• Perform a wide range of analytical tests and lab procedures (daily physical, chemical, sensory evaluation, retesting OOS).
• Assess quality and compliance of raw materials, in-process items, and finished products.
• Document results and maintain detailed records per quality management systems and regulatory requirements.
• Collaborate with production teams to identify and resolve quality-related issues.
• Assist in developing and optimizing testing methods and QC protocols.
• Monitor and calibrate laboratory equipment to ensure accuracy.
• Ensure lab instruments and devices are clean and calibration status valid.
• Track lab inventory and raise requisitions for consumables.

About the role

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Lab Analyst to join the quality control team at F&N AgriValley Sdn Bhd in Gemas, Negeri Sembilan. In this full-time position, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the high quality and safety standards of our products by conducting comprehensive laboratory analyses and tests.

What you'll be doing:

• Performing a wide range of analytical tests and laboratory procedures including daily physical, chemical and sensory evaluation in accurate and timely manner, conduct retest on OOS result.
• To assess the quality and compliance of raw materials, in-process items, and finished products.
• Documenting test results and maintaining detailed records in accordance with quality management systems and regulatory requirements.
• Collaborating with production teams to identify and resolve quality-related issues.
• Participating in the development and optimization of testing methods and quality control protocols.
• Continuously monitoring and maintaining the accuracy and calibration of laboratory equipment.
• Ensure lab instruments and measuring equipment and devices are in clean, good working condition with valid calibration status.
• Track lab inventory stock and expiration with proper inventory record.
• Raise purchase requisition for consumables.
• Adhering to all health, safety, and environmental regulations within the laboratory environment

What we're looking for:

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant scientific discipline, such as chemistry, food science, or a related field
• Minimum 2-3 years of experience as a lab analyst or quality control technician in the manufacturing or food/beverage industry
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen eye for detail
• Proficient in the use of laboratory equipment and instrumentation, such as spectrophotometers, pH meters, and titration systems
• Excellent data management and record-keeping skills with experience in quality management systems
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team, with a proactive and collaborative approach
• Good communication skills to effectively liaise with production, technical, and management teams
