Job summary

Luxoft Malaysia, supporting a leading global bank, seeks an L3 Production Support engineer to join a Kuala Lumpur center of excellence for enterprise Java applications.

You will troubleshoot complex production incidents, perform RCA, support deployments, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve service reliability and automate processes.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years of L3 production support for enterprise apps.
• Hands-on Java and Spring Boot expertise.
• Experience with Microservices architecture.
• Experience with Apache Camel.
• Experience with JBoss Application Server.
• Hands-on MQ/JMS messaging.
• Experience developing or supporting REST and SOAP Web Services.
• Strong incident analysis, troubleshooting, RCA, and production issue resolution.
• Experience with Unix/Linux environments.

Responsibilities

• The Technology and Operations function is comprised of five teams of specialists with distinct capabilities: business partnership, technology, operations, risk governance, and planning support and services. They work closely together to harness the power of technology to support our physical and digital banking services and operations. This includes developing, centralising and standardising technology systems as well as banking operations in Malaysia and overseas branches.

• You will be working in a newly set-up technology centre located in Kuala Lumpur as part of Technology and Operations to deliver innovative financial technology solutions that enable business growth and technology transformation.

Responsibilities

• Provide L3 production support for Java-based Microservices applications, ensuring high availability and operational stability.
• Investigate, troubleshoot, and resolve complex production incidents within agreed service levels.
• Perform root cause analysis (RCA) and implement permanent fixes for recurring production issues.
• Monitor application health, logs, and system performance to proactively identify and resolve issues.
• Support production deployments, application releases, and change implementation activities.
• Collaborate with development, infrastructure, database, middleware, and business teams to resolve production issues.
• Analyze application logs, database queries, messaging flows, and API interactions to identify defects and performance bottlenecks.
• Support incident, problem, and change management processes following organisational standards.
• Prepare technical documentation, operational procedures, and knowledge articles for production support activities.
• Contribute to continuous service improvement by automating support processes and reducing recurring incidents.
