Job summary

The Branding People is seeking a proactive Recruiter to source and engage content creators across SEA, with a focus on Malaysia. You will reach out, qualify, coordinate interviews, and onboard talent while expanding our creator network and partnerships.

You'll operate remotely with flexible hours, collaborating with management to align creator opportunities with campaigns, while building lasting relationships and a robust recruitment pipeline.

Qualifications

• Experience in influencer marketing or talent recruitment is preferred.
• Excellent written and verbal English; Chinese proficiency is a plus.
• Able to manage multiple campaigns and meet deadlines.

We're The Branding People, a Malaysia-based digital marketing agency serving brands across Southeast Asia. We turn insights into strategy, strategy into creative work, and creative work into measurable impact.

This role focuses on sourcing and recruiting content creators across social media platforms (Instagram, TikTok, Facebook) for collaboration opportunities. It involves reaching out to potential talents, building relationships, explaining the collaboration, and qualifying candidates based on company requirements. The role also covers coordinating interviews with management, following up with creators throughout the process, supporting onboarding, and tracking recruitment progress — while continuously growing the network of creators, agencies, and talent managers to strengthen the pipeline.

What You'll Be Crafting

• Source potential creators on Instagram, TikTok, Facebook and other social media platforms.
• Reach out to creators via DM, email or WhatsApp.
• Build relationships and maintain communication with potential talents.
• Introduce our company and explain the collaboration opportunity.
• Answer basic questions regarding the role and job scope.
• Qualify creators based on our requirements.
• Arrange interview sessions with the management team.
• Follow up with creators before and after interviews.
• Assist with onboarding once a creator is confirmed.
• Keep track of all outreach, follow-ups and recruitment progress.
• Continuously expand our network of creators, agencies and talent managers to strengthen our recruitment pipeline.

Your Superpowers

• Strong communication and relationship-building skills—you enjoy connecting with people.
• Excellent research skills with the ability to discover high-potential micro KOLs before they become mainstream.
• Well versed in both English and Chinese.
• Familiarity with TikTok, Instagram,RedNote, and the local creator ecosystem.
• Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple campaigns and deadlines simultaneously.
• Strong negotiation skills and confidence handling outreach and partnership discussions.
• A proactive, resourceful mindset with a passion for digital marketing, social media, and creator culture.
• Previous experience in influencer marketing, event planning, social media, PR, or account management is an advantage but not required if you're eager to learn and grow.
