Job summary

Woh Hup Group is seeking a General Manager (KL) to lead the KL project portfolio, drive profitability, and set consistent delivery standards across multiple projects. You will oversee Project Directors, manage budgets and resources, and liaise with the Head of Malaysia on strategic issues.

This executive role requires deep construction sector experience, strong leadership, and a proven ability to deliver complex programs on time and within budget.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or related field; postgraduate qualification advantageous.
• Minimum 15 years of relevant construction/engineering experience, with large-scale project exposure.
• At least 5 years in a senior leadership role overseeing multiple projects and senior teams.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership and oversight to Project Directors managing KL projects.
• Set performance standards and delivery targets across the KL portfolio.
• Review and approve project plans, budgets, and resourcing strategies.
• Escalate cross-project risks to Head of Malaysia as needed.
• Own overall profitability and cost performance for the KL portfolio.
• Monitor project P&L, cash flow and cost trends; intervene to prevent overruns.
• Collaborate with Finance on budgeting, forecasting and reporting.
• Support tender/contract stage to ensure favorable commercial terms.
