Job summary

Private Advertiser is seeking a kitchen assistant in Shah Alam, Malaysia to support the chef with mise-en-place, follow recipes, and ensure SOP-compliant food presentation. You will help maintain inventory, minimise wastage, and assist in service prep and finishing.

Responsibilities include collecting items from the storeroom, reporting issues, keeping transport trolleys clean, and performing any tasks assigned by the Head Chef. This is a full-time, on-site role requiring attention to detail.

Qualifications

• Assist in mise-en-place according to recipes.
• Follow SOPs for food presentation and timely orders.
• Maintain kitchen inventory and minimize wastage.
• Assist in prep and finishing of dishes during service.
• Report any issues to supervisor and keep storeroom organized.

Responsibilities

• Support chef in daily kitchen operations.
• Prepare and finish dishes as directed during service.
• Collect, check and organise foodstuffs from storeroom.
• Keep food transport trolley clean and ready.
• Perform any other tasks assigned by Head Chef.
