Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years as Kitchen Manager or 5 years in a management role in food service.
• Able to converse and write in Bahasa Malaysia and English; Mandarin proficiency is a plus.
• Possess exceptional PR skills and customer orientation.
• Must be computer literate with basic ordering/purchasing and cash handling knowledge.
• Typhoid and Food Handling Certification ready.

Responsibilities

• Kitchen Production: manage daily meals services and catering.
• Ability to cook a wide range of foods in large batch quantities (International Asian & Western).
• Lead the Atmosphere: ensure staff are efficient, clean, organized and professional.
• Training: oversee staff training and proper food handling procedures.
• Cash management: oversee onsite cash handling, registers and petty cash.
• Purchasing: manage all food and supply orders following vendor policies.
• Food Costs: monitor inventory and minimize waste.
• Labor management: hire, review and control turnover to under 30%.
• Communication: fluent in English; respond to emails within 24 hours.
• Safety & Security: maintain a safe work environment.
• Self-motivated and able to work with the team without direct supervision.
• Enjoy working around students and staff; catering for events.
• Passionate about food; cooking from scratch.
• Day shifts with no late nights; meal provided.
