Job summary

Responsibilities

• Wash, peel, cut, and slice ingredients as directed by the chef.
• Assist kitchen staff to unload deliveries from trucks.
• Wash and dry dishes and utensils; store them properly.
• Store ingredients according to food safety standards.
• Arrange food items in storage areas and maintain order.
• Work as part of a team and be able to stand for long periods.
• Be able to work at night during wedding functions (midnight hours).

Job Description

• To perform the tasks assigned by Chef. Preparing meal ingredients for the cook, which includes washing, peeling, cutting, and slicing ingredients.
• Assisting kitchen staff to unload food supplies from delivery trucks.
• Properly washing and drying all dishes, utensils, cooking instruments and cutting boards. Neatly putting away all utensils, dishes in their respective places
• Storing ingredients and food items according to food safety standards. Proven experience helping in kitchen settings.
• To arrange all food items properly in stores
• The ability to stand for extended periods of time.
• The ability to safely use kitchen equipment and appliances.
• Maintaining the cleanliness of the kitchen and ensure the environment is safe and hygienic at all times.
• Knowledge in food safety standards and procedures.
• Good working attitude, discipline, punctual, flexible and in good health.
• Have similar working experience in kitchen environment is preferred.
• Able to work at midnight on weekends (for Wedding function starting around 12.00am@2.00am)
• Must be working in a team.
• Open for MALAYSIAN only.
