Job summary

Dreams Motorworks Pte Ltd invites applications for a Kitchen Assistant to support chefs in daily food preparation and kitchen operations in a busy restaurant setting. You will cut, wash, portion, and prepare ingredients, cook simple dishes, and help with noodles, rice dishes, and sauces.

Qualifications

• Previous kitchen or F&B experience is an advantage, but training can be provided.
• Able to work in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
• Willing to learn and able to follow instructions.
• Responsible, hardworking, punctual, and a good team player.
• Good personal hygiene and cleanliness.
• Able to work on weekends and public holidays according to the duty roster.
• Basic understanding of Chinese kopitiam-style food preparation is an added advantage.

Responsibilities

• Assist chefs with daily food preparation, including cutting, washing, portioning, and preparing ingredients.
• Prepare and cook simple dishes according to the restaurant's recipes and standards.
• Assist with noodles, rice dishes, side dishes, sauces, and other kitchen preparation as assigned.
• Ensure ingredients are properly stored, labelled, and maintained according to food safety requirements.
• Maintain cleanliness and hygiene of the kitchen, preparation areas, equipment, and utensils.
• Wash kitchen equipment, utensils, and cookware when required.
• Monitor ingredient levels and inform the supervisor when stock needs to be replenished.
• Follow proper food handling, hygiene, and kitchen safety procedures.
• Assist the kitchen team during busy service periods to ensure orders are prepared accurately and efficiently.
• Minimise food wastage and use ingredients responsibly.
