Job summary

DREAMS MOTORWORKS PTE LTD is seeking a kitchen helper in Ipoh to assist in basic food preparation and supporting the kitchen team during busy service periods.

You will help with washing, cutting, peeling, and preparing ingredients, while maintaining cleanliness and adhering to food safety procedures. Training will be provided, and ability to work weekends and holidays is required.

Responsibilities

• Assist with basic food preparation: washing, cutting, peeling, and preparing ingredients.
• Prepare ingredients and kitchen items per Chef/Supervisor instructions.
• Support kitchen team during busy service periods.
• Maintain cleanliness and hygiene of kitchen, prep areas, equipment and utensils.
• Wash dishes and utensils as required.
• Receive, arrange and store ingredients and supplies.
• Follow food safety, hygiene and SOP requirements.
• Monitor stock levels and inform supervisor when running low.
• Assist with opening and closing kitchen duties.
• Perform other kitchen duties as assigned by Chef/Manager.

Job description

Assist with basic food preparation such as washing, cutting, peeling, and preparing ingredients.

Prepare ingredients and kitchen items according to instructions from the Chef/Supervisor.

Assist the kitchen team during food preparation and busy service periods.

Maintain cleanliness and hygiene of the kitchen, preparation areas, equipment, and utensils.

Wash dishes, cooking utensils, and kitchen equipment when required.

Receive, arrange, and store ingredients and supplies properly.

Follow food safety, hygiene, and company SOP requirements.

Monitor ingredients and inform the supervisor when stocks are running low.

Assist with opening and closing kitchen duties.

Perform other kitchen-related duties assigned by the Chef or Restaurant Manager.

Requirements

No prior experience required; training will be provided.

Candidates with kitchen/F&B experience will be an advantage.

Able to work in a fast-paced kitchen environment.

Hardworking, responsible, punctual, and willing to learn.

Good teamwork and positive working attitude.

Able to work shifts, weekends, and public holidays when required.

Basic understanding of kitchen hygiene and food safety is preferred.
