Job summary

Biru Coffee & Sando Cafe in Kuala Lumpur is seeking a Kitchen Crew member to support daily kitchen operations, prepare ingredients, and cook menu items following our recipes.

You will maintain clean prep areas, follow food safety standards, and ensure accurate portioning, presentation, and taste.

This role requires flexibility to work shifts, weekends and public holidays, as well as teamwork and reliable communication; Typhoid vaccination and MOH Food Handler certification are mandatory.

Qualifications

• Valid Typhoid Vaccination and MOH Food Handler Course Certificate.
• Basic understanding of kitchen operations and hygiene standards.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, on shifts, weekends, and public holidays.
• Strong teamwork, punctuality, and good communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist in washing, chopping, prepping ingredients, and assembling menu items following standard recipes
• Prepare and cook dishes according to food safety protocols, ensuring consistency in portioning, presentation, and taste
• Maintain a clean workspace; wash utensils, prep boards, and equipment according to Ministry of Health (KKM) standards
• Inspect incoming ingredients, ensure proper food labeling, and enforce stock rotation (FIFO) in chillers and freezers
• Clean prep stations, empty trash bins, clean grease traps, and assist in daily opening/closing procedures
