Job summary

The Junior Sous Chef at Grand Hyatt Kuala Lumpur will assist the Sous Chef in managing the Chinese section of THIRTY8 Kitchen, helping ensure efficient operation and guest satisfaction in line with Hyatt's standards.

You will contribute to planning, organizing, directing, and controlling kitchen operations and administration, while upholding health and safety, and maintaining high standards for a luxury hotel.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years' work experience as a Chef de Partie or in similar role.
• Experience in Chinese cuisine within a hotel or large restaurant setting.
• Knowledge of kitchen hygiene and safety standards; basic MS Office is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist with the efficient running of the department in line with Hyatt's strategies and brand standards.
• Assist the Sous Chef in managing the Chinese section of THIRTY8 Kitchen to maximize guest satisfaction.
