Job summary

PANTECH GALVANISING in Malaysia is seeking a dedicated Safety, Health and Environmental (EHS) professional to implement procedures, conduct audits and report on EMS performance. This full-time role focuses on ensuring compliance with safety and environmental standards across the site.

The position requires a Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Environmental/Health/Safety) or equivalent and at least 1 year of relevant experience.

Responsibilities

• facilitate the implementation of safety & health procedures and conduct safety audits.
• Identify, investigate and report the causes of incidents & accidents and conduct risk assessments and facilitate training for employees with respect to all safety issues.
• Secretary in the minutes of safety & health committee meetings.
• Conduct safety inspections of emergency equipment such as firefighting equipment & first aid facilities.
• Responsible for preventing or reducing environmental risks and formulating environmental protections and procedures.
• Legislation applicable to the Environmental Quality Act (EQA) 1974.
• Report the performance of the environmental management system to top management as a basis for EMS improvement.
