Job summary

Matrix Partner Sdn Bhd is seeking a motivated Quantity Surveyor to join our Kulai site team. You will manage cost planning and financial control for major projects, ensuring alignment with budgets and timelines.

The role requires 1–2 years of QS experience, a relevant degree, and strong contract knowledge. Site-based work in Kulai, Johor, with opportunities for professional growth and exposure to diverse projects.

Qualifications

• Strong understanding of cost control and project management.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed cost estimates and budgets for construction projects.
• Negotiate and administer contracts with subcontractors and suppliers.
• Monitor and control project costs; address variances.
• Prepare and analyse progress claims, valuations, and final accounts.
• Provide expert advice to project management and maintain stakeholder relationships.

Quantity Surveyor

Site-based in Kulai, Johor

What you'll be doing

Preparing detailed cost estimates and budgets for construction projects

Negotiating and administering contracts with subcontractors and suppliers

Monitoring and controlling project costs, identifying and addressing any variances

Preparing and analysing progress claims, valuations, and final accounts

Providing expert advice and support to the project management team

Developing and maintaining strong relationships with clients, subcontractors, and other stakeholders

What we're looking for

A minimum of 1-2 years' experience as a Quantity Surveyor in the construction industry

Degree or professional qualification in Quantity Surveying or a related field

Excellent understanding of construction contracts, cost control, and project management principles

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines

Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills

Willing to be site-based in Kulai, Johor
