Job summary

PEMBINAAN TAJRI SDN BHD is seeking a motivated Junior Project Engineer (Fresh Graduate) to support our electrical project team across Malaysia. You will assist in coordinating project activities, reviewing drawings, and preparing progress reports under guidance.

We welcome fresh graduates with a degree in Electrical Engineering or Electrical & Electronic Engineering, strong communication skills, and a willingness to learn on-site. Driving licence is a plus and travel to sites will be required.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Project Manager in planning, coordinating and monitoring electrical project activities.
• Assist in monitoring project progress, work schedules, manpower, materials and equipment.
• Assist in reviewing electrical drawings, specifications, method statements and technical submissions.
• Assist in coordinating electrical works with clients, consultants, subcontractors, suppliers and relevant authorities.
• Assist in ensuring electrical works are carried out in accordance with approved drawings, project specifications, safety procedures.
• Attend site meetings and assist in preparing project progress reports, site records and related documentation.

About the Role

We are looking for a motivated and enthusiastic Junior Project Engineer (Fresh Graduate) to join our project team. The successful candidate will assist the Project Manager in coordinating, monitoring and supporting electrical project activities at project sites.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist the Project Manager in planning, coordinating and monitoring electrical project activities.

• Assist in monitoring project progress, work schedules, manpower, materials and equipment.

• Assist in reviewing electrical drawings, specifications, method statements and technical submissions.

• Assist in coordinating electrical works with clients, consultants, subcontractors, suppliers and relevant authorities.

• Assist in ensuring electrical works are carried out in accordance with approved drawings, project specifications, TNB requirements and safety procedures.

• Assist in monitoring subcontractors’ work progress and site activities.

• Attend site meetings and assist in preparing project progress reports, site records and related documentation.

• Assist in identifying and resolving technical and site issues under the guidance of the Project Manager or Senior Engineer.

• Assist in coordinating electrical works with civil and other project disciplines.

• Assist in testing, commissioning, inspection and handover activities where applicable.

• Perform other project-related duties as assigned by the Project Manager.

About You

• Basic knowledge of electrical systems, electrical drawings, engineering principles and project documentation.

• Good communication, coordination and problem-solving skills.

• Able to work independently and as part of a project team.

• Willing to travel and work at project sites across Malaysia.

• Possess a valid driving licence.

• Knowledge or academic exposure to TNB, HV, substations, underground cables, transmission lines or EPCC projects will be an added advantage.

• No prior working experience is required.
