Job summary

Ranbaxy (Malaysia) Sdn Bhd, a SUN PHARMA company, is seeking a Junior Officer - Production to join our manufacturing operations in Sungai Petani, Kedah. This full-time role supports production planning, scheduling, and quality assurance to ensure timely delivery of pharmaceutical products.

You will assist the production team, comply with GMP, and develop your career within a global healthcare organisation. A related degree and strong communication skills in English and Bahasa Malaysia are valued.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field such as Science, Manufacturing or Pharmaceutical studies.
• Basic understanding of pharmaceutical manufacturing or production planning processes.
• Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks.
• Excellent written and verbal communication in English and Bahasa Malaysia.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and data management systems.
• Attention to detail and commitment to high-quality standards.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a team and follow instructions.
• Knowledge of lean manufacturing or continuous improvement is advantageous.
• Experience in a manufacturing or production environment is beneficial.
• Willingness to learn and develop skills in pharmaceutical production operations.

Responsibilities

• Assist Manager and supervise production team to achieve targets in the production plan with high productivity and GMP compliance.
• Carry out production operations per plan and ensure on-time delivery.
• Ensure all production operations adhere to GMP compliance at coating area.
• Maintain optimum manpower levels and overtime as needed.
• Monitor subordinates and provide necessary assistance for timely task completion.
• Monitor activity and productivity in coating area.
• Update and review Coating Standard Operating Procedures (SOP).
• Ensure SOPs are executed as required.
• Ensure subordinates complete required trainings.
• Participate in investigations related to the coating area.

Key responsibilities

• Assist Manager, Executive and supervise production team to achieve target in production plan with high productivity and adhere to GMP
• Carry out production operation as per production plan and delivery on time
• Ensure all operation of production adhere to GMP compliance at coating area
• Maintain an optimum level of manpower and over time
• Monitor the work of subordinates and ensure the necessary assistance is provided to them for their timely, adequate and accurate completion of the assigned work
• Monitor activity and productivity in coating area
• Responsible for Coating Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) update and review
• Ensure SOP execution is comply as per requirements

About you
