Job summary

Oxydata Software Sdn Bhd, established since 2012, seeks a Junior .NET Developer to support the Investment & Wealth platform within a Core Banking environment. Location is Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, and the role is onsite under a contract arrangement.

You will develop and maintain .NET applications, perform database work with MS SQL Server, and participate in release planning, testing, and production support, aligning with SDLC and security policies.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of application development experience in banking or financial services.
• Strong knowledge of SQL and Microsoft SQL Server.
• Understanding of SDLC, release management, and QA processes.
• Experience with Core Banking or Investment & Wealth systems.
• On-site work in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.
• Bachelor’s degree in related field.

Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and enhance Investment & Wealth platform applications using .NET.
• Perform database development, optimisation, and troubleshooting with MS SQL Server.
• Support release management activities, including deployment planning and coordination.
• Participate in testing, defect resolution, and validation of enhancements.

Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and enhance applications for the Investment & Wealth platform using .NET technologies.
• Perform database development, optimisation, and troubleshooting with MS SQL Server and SQL.
• Support release management activities, including deployment planning, coordination, and implementation.
• Participate in quality assurance activities such as testing, defect resolution, and validation of application enhancements.
• Collaborate with business users, project teams, and technical stakeholders to deliver system enhancements and resolve production issues.
• Troubleshoot application and database issues to maintain system availability and performance.
• Prepare and maintain technical documentation for system changes, releases, and support activities.
• Adhere to organisational development standards, security policies, and best practices.

Requirements

Must-have

• Bachelor’s degree in any related discipline.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in application development within a banking or financial services environment.
• Strong knowledge of SQL and Microsoft SQL Server.
• Experience working in an Open Systems environment.
• Understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC), release management, and quality assurance processes.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills.
• Experience in Core Banking or Investment & Wealth Management systems.

Nice-to-have

• Familiarity with application deployment and release automation processes.
• Exposure to Agile or Scrum development methodologies.
• Knowledge of system integration and performance tuning.
• Experience supporting production environments and incident resolution.
