Job summary

Oxydata Software Sdn Bhd in Kuala Lumpur is seeking a Junior Developer – KYC to support development, maintenance, and enhancement of core service applications within a financial technology environment.

You will collaborate with analysts and engineers, design and optimise SQL queries, deploy and troubleshoot across Unix/Linux/Windows, and help ensure security and compliance standards. The role requires 3–5 years of experience, a bachelor’s degree, and knowledge of AML/KYC processes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in any related discipline.
• Legal right to work in Malaysia; visa sponsorship not available.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in application development and support.
• Strong proficiency in SQL, query optimisation, data analysis and database troubleshooting.
• Experience with financial crime compliance platforms (Detica NetReveal, Actimise, Tookitaki).
• Exposure to banking, financial services, or regulatory compliance environments.

Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and support core service applications and related system components.
• Design, write, optimise, and troubleshoot complex SQL queries, stored procedures, and database scripts.
• Perform application deployment, configuration, and troubleshooting across Unix, Linux, and Windows environments.
• Analyse production issues, identify root causes, and implement timely resolutions.
• Support system integration activities and data processing workflows.
• Collaborate with business analysts, solution architects, and technical teams to deliver project requirements.
• Participate in system testing, performance tuning, and release management activities.
• Prepare and maintain technical documentation, operational procedures, and support guides.
• Ensure compliance with organisational standards, security requirements, and best practices.

Requirements

Must-have:

• Bachelor’s degree in any related discipline.

• Minimum 3 years of experience in application development and support roles.
• Strong proficiency in SQL, including query optimisation, data analysis, and database troubleshooting.
• Experience in application support, troubleshooting, and incident resolution.
• Experience with financial crime compliance platforms such as Detica NetReveal, Actimise, Microsoft Continuity, or Tookitaki.
• Exposure to banking, financial services, or regulatory compliance environments.

Nice-to-have:

• Knowledge of Anti-Money Laundering (AML) and Know Your Customer (KYC) processes and regulations.
• Experience with Java development and application integration.
• Familiarity with batch processing, ETL workflows, and data integration concepts.
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum delivery environments.
• Hands‑on experience with Unix Shell Scripting.
• Good understanding of Unix, Linux, and Windows operating systems.
• Knowledge of software development lifecycle (SDLC) and deployment processes.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
