Job summary

Keen Point (M) Sdn Bhd is seeking a Junior Mold Design Engineer to join its plastics molding team. You will support senior engineers in mold design, prepare 2D/3D drawings, and help develop process documentation.

Fresh graduates are welcome to apply. The role offers training, exposure to NX/Creo/SolidWorks, BOM and assembly drawing tasks, and collaboration with global design teams in a dynamic manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• Internship experience in mold design or CAD preferred.
• Basic knowledge of 3D/2D CAD software (NX/Creo/SolidWorks/AutoCAD).
• Good communication and teamwork.
• Interest in plastic injection mold design.

Responsibilities

• Complete technical training per plan.
• Assist senior engineers in mold design and development.
• Prepare and update 2D/3D mold drawings and related documents.
• Assist in mold specifications, BOM and assembly drawings.
• Review mold design and resolve design issues.
• Translate and prepare DFM documents and information.
• Support communication with internal and overseas teams.
• Learn mold structure, components, molding processes and trials.
• Perform other engineering tasks.

• Assist senior engineers in plastic injection mold design and development.
• Prepare and update 2D/3D mold drawingsand related technical documents.
• Assist in preparing mold specifications, BOM and assembly drawings.
• Assist engineers in reviewing mold design and resolving design-related issues.
• Assist in translating and preparing DFM documentsand technical information.
• Support communication and coordination with internal project teams and overseas design teams.
• Learn mold structure, mold components, injection molding processes and mold trial procedures.
• Perform other engineering tasks assigned by the department.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering Technology, Manufacturing Engineering Technology, Precision Engineering, Tool & Die, Product Designor related disciplines.
• Fresh graduates are welcome to apply.
• Candidates with internship experience in mold design, injection molding, tooling or CAD are preferred.
• Basic knowledge of 3D/2D CAD softwaresuch as NX, Creo, SolidWorks or AutoCAD.
• Basic understanding of mechanical drawings and engineering principles.
• Interest in plastic injection mold design and manufacturing.
• Willing to learn and develop in the tooling/mold engineering field.
