Job summary

Jora Malaysia is seeking a Junior Mold Design Engineer – Plastic Injection Moulding. This role focuses on assisting senior engineers, developing 2D/3D mold drawings, and preparing mold specifications and BOMs.

You will gain hands-on training, work with NX/Creo/SolidWorks, and collaborate with internal and overseas teams to learn injection molding processes and mold trial procedures. Fresh graduates are welcome to apply.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related disciplines.
• Fresh graduates welcome to apply.
• Experience with mold design, injection molding, tooling or CAD is preferred.
• Basic knowledge of 3D/2D CAD software such as NX, Creo, SolidWorks or AutoCAD.
• Good understanding of mechanical drawings and engineering principles.
• Interest in plastic injection mold design and manufacturing.
• Willling to learn and develop in the tooling/mold engineering field.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Complete technical training according to the department's training plan.
• Assist senior engineers in plastic injection mold design and development.
• Prepare and update 2D/3D mold drawings and related technical documents.
• Assist in preparing mold specifications, BOM and assembly drawings.
• Assist engineers in reviewing mold design and resolving design-related issues.
• Assist in translating and preparing DFM documents and technical information.
• Support communication and coordination with internal project teams and overseas design teams.
• Learn mold structure, mold components, injection molding processes and mold trial procedures.
• Perform other engineering tasks assigned by the department.
