Job summary

Keen Point is seeking an experienced Mold Flow Analysis Engineer to lead CAE simulations for plastic injection mold projects. You will analyze filling, cooling, warpage and defects to optimize mold and product design, while collaborating with design engineers and suppliers to drive quality and efficiency.

Requires a Bachelor's degree in engineering and a minimum of three years in mold flow analysis, with hands‑on Moldflow and Moldex3D experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical/Manufacturing/Polymer/Materials/Plastics Engineering or related field.
• At least 3 years of experience in plastic injection molding or mold flow analysis.
• Hands‑on experience with Moldflow, Moldex3D or equivalent CAE software.
• Strong understanding of injection molding processes and mold design.
• Knowledge of plastics materials, rheology and molding parameters.
• Familiar with DFM, DOE and injection molding defects.
• Excellent analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
• Good communication and coordination skills.

Responsibilities

Mold Flow Analysis Engineer – Plastic Injection Moulding

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct CAE mold flow simulation and analysisfor new plastic injection mold projects.
• Prepare mold flow analysis reports and provide technical recommendations for mold and product optimization.
• Analyze filling, packing, cooling, warpage, weld lines, air traps, pressure and other molding characteristics.
• Recommend appropriate gate locations, runner systems, cooling systems and molding parametersbased on simulation results.
• Analyze molding defects and provide recommendations for mold design or product design improvements.
• Support mold design reviews and participate in DFMactivities.
• Evaluate new mold designs and provide technical feedback.
• Review mold flow analysis reports according to company standards.
• Work closely with mold design engineers, product engineers, tooling suppliers and overseas design teams.
• Support mold trials and validate simulation results against actual molding results.
• Lead or support continuous improvement activities related to mold flow analysis and injection molding.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Polymer Engineering, Materials Engineering, Plastics Engineering, Mechanical Engineering Technology, Manufacturing Engineering Technologyor related disciplines.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in plastic injection molding / mold flow analysis.
• Hands‑on experience with Moldflow, Moldex3D or equivalent CAE simulation software.
• Strong understanding of plastic injection molding processes and mold design.
• Knowledge of plastic materials, rheology and molding parameters.
• Familiar with DFM, DOE and injection molding defects.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Experience in automotive or precision plastic components is an advantage.
• Good communication and coordination skills.
