Jora Malaysia is seeking a Mold Design Engineer for plastic injection molding. You will lead mold design reviews, prepare DFM assessments, and create detailed mold designs, BOMs, and drawings to meet project specs.

Participate in new mold design reviews and verify the accuracy of 3D/2D drawings, BOM and related technical documents.
Prepare and complete DFM (Design for Manufacturability) reviews based on project requirements.
Develop mold design concepts and prepare detailed mold designs according to project specifications.
Prepare 2D drawings, BOM, mold specifications, assembly drawings and related technical documentation.
Coordinate mold development activities according to project schedules.
Follow up mold fabrication, assembly, testing and modifications.
Identify and resolve mold-related issues during mold trials and production.
Work closely with mold engineers, toolmakers, suppliers and cross-functional teams to optimize mold design.
Support mold flow analysis and incorporate analysis results into mold design improvements.
Coordinate with overseas design teams and internal project teams.

Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Tool & Die, Precision Engineering, Mechanical Engineering Technology, Manufacturing Engineering Technology or related disciplines.
Minimum 3 years of experience in plastic injection mold design.
Experience in plastic injection mold design and development is highly preferred.
Proficient in 3D/2D CAD software such as UG/NX, Creo, SolidWorks, AutoCAD or equivalent.
Good understanding of plastic injection mold structure, gating, cooling, ejection and mold components.
Familiar with DFM, GD&T, tolerance analysis and mold trial processes.
Knowledge of Moldflow/Moldex3D is an advantage.
Good problem-solving, communication and coordination skills.
Experience in automotive or precision plastic components is an advantage.
