Solidify Technology Sdn Bhd is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to assist in the design, drafting, and development of engineering drawings using CAD tools. You will support senior engineers in planning and site supervision, and prepare technical reports and progress updates.
You will also assist in inspection, testing, and troubleshooting of mechanical systems, coordinate with production and maintenance teams, monitor progress, and ensure safety standards are followed.
Assist in mechanical design, drafting, and development of engineering drawings using CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, SolidWorks).
Support senior engineers in project planning, execution, and site supervision activities.
Prepare technical reports, work progress updates, and documentation as required.
Assist in inspection, testing, and troubleshooting of mechanical systems and equipment.
Coordinate with production, fabrication, and maintenance teams to ensure smooth workflow.
Monitor project progress and report any delays, issues, or technical concerns to supervisors.
Ensure all work is carried out in compliance with safety standards and company procedures.
Participate in installation, commissioning, and maintenance activities when required.
Analyze existing manufacturing processes and identify opportunities for improvement
Support implementation and optimization of robotic systems (e.g. automated welding systems)
Able to read and interpret technical and engineering drawings.

To address the space of low volume production, Solidify utilizes the latest technologies like 3D printers, to highly specialized techniques like vacuum casting, to better known processes like laser cutting and CNC milling. Parts manufactured range from all kinds of metals to various kinds of plastics.
Solidify currently manufactures chassis and body parts for UK's largest bus manufacturers, with a production team consisting of Production Planning, Engineering, Material Sourcing, Machine Operators, QA/QC, and Warehouse.
