Job summary

Maybank is seeking a proactive Junior Credit Analyst to support the Commercial Banking team with credit proposals, documentation, and financial data collection. You will assist in renewal submissions and monitoring of portfolio conditions, ensuring timely and accurate submissions.

This role offers exposure to credit analysis, customer engagement, and collaboration with BDMs and renewal teams in a dynamic banking environment.

Qualifications

• University degree in business/finance-related field.
• Strong interest in Commercial Banking, Corporate Banking, Credit Analysis, and Relationship Management.
• Ability to interpret financial and business information with good analytical skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
• Detail-oriented with strong organization and time management.
• Able to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced banking environment.

Responsibilities

• Support BDMs and Renewal Team in preparing credit proposals, renewal submissions, and customer documentation.
• Assist in collecting, reviewing, and organizing financial information and supporting documents for credit assessment.
• Monitor facility renewal timelines and coordinate with customers and internal stakeholders for timely submissions and approvals.
• Support portfolio management activities including tracking post-disbursement conditions and covenant compliance.
• Assist in monitoring Watchlist, SMA, and MFRS 9 requirements through data gathering and reporting.
• Prepare portfolio reports, management information, and performance tracking reports.
• Coordinate customer inquiries and follow-up actions to ensure prompt service delivery.
• Ensure compliance with internal policies and regulatory requirements in all tasks.
• Participate in customer meetings, portfolio reviews, and credit discussions to gain exposure to banking operations.
