Job summary

Maybank Georgetown, Penang is seeking a candidate to support Commercial Banking operations in a hands-on, learning-focused role.

You will assist Business Development Managers and the Renewal Team in preparing credit proposals, collecting financial information, monitoring renewal timelines, and producing portfolio reports to support credit decisions while ensuring compliance with internal policies and regulatory requirements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in business, banking, finance, accounting, economics or related field.
• Strong interest in commercial banking and credit analysis.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist BDMs and Renewal Team in preparing credit proposals and customer documentation.
• Collect, review, and organize financial information and supporting documents for credit assessment.
• Monitor renewal timelines and coordinate with customers and internal stakeholders.
• Support portfolio management: track post-disbursement conditions and covenant compliance.
• Monitor Watchlist and SMA requirements through data gathering and reporting.
• Prepare portfolio reports and management information as required.
• Coordinate customer enquiries to ensure prompt service delivery.
• Ensure compliance with internal policies and regulatory requirements.
• Participate in customer meetings and credit discussions.
