Job summary

Kimlun Sdn Bhd is seeking a Junior Quantity Surveyor to assist the Contract Manager or Senior Contract Executive in day-to-day contract administration. You will gain exposure to the full cycle of billings, specifications and contracts while supporting pre- and post-contract activities on diverse projects.

You will conduct site visits, monitor progress, prepare interim valuations, handle sub-contractor payments and claims, and assist with final accounts.

Qualifications

• Candidate must possess at least a Diploma or Degree in Quantity Survey or equivalent.
• Minimum 2 years of relevant hands-on experience in post contract administration, contract documentation, budgeting, cost control, material resources planning and control.
• Well organized, disciplined and highly efficient.
• Fresh graduates or those with experience are welcome to apply.

Responsibilities

• Assist Contract Manager or Senior Contract Executive in contract administration and related duties.
• In-depth understanding of the full cycle of BQ, Specifications and Contracts.
• Support pre-contract and post-contract work such as tendering, cost analysis, evaluating claims and payment certification, and evaluating and comparing quotations.
• Project administration and documentation including interim valuations, pricing and agreement of contract variations, update claim submissions, preparation of final accounts.
• Manage sub-contractors’ payments and main-contractor’s claims.
• Site visits to monitor progress and ensure compliance with contract requirements.
• Prepare award of contract, check contract documents and recommend sub-contractor evaluations.
• Undertake other ad-hoc duties as assigned by Contract Manager or Senior Contract Executive.
