Ally Logistic Property, Co., Ltd. is seeking a Junior Chef (Cafe Kitchen) in Bukit Raja, Malaysia to support daily food preparation in a small café serving warehouse tenants and walk-in customers.

You will work in a lean team with multi-function roles, handling prep, cooking, plating, stock monitoring and occasional catering for tenant events, while upholding hygiene and safety standards.

Qualifications

• SPM or equivalent is required; certificate/diploma in Culinary Arts, F&B or Hospitality is an advantage.
• Minimum 1–2 years of kitchen experience in a café, restaurant, hotel or catering outlet.
• Valid Food Handler Training Certificate recognised by the Ministry of Health Malaysia
• Typhoid vaccination as required under the Food Hygiene Regulations 2009
• Able to converse in Bahasa Malaysia; basic English is an advantage

Responsabilités

• Support daily food preparation and cooking in a small café kitchen for warehouse tenants and walk-in customers
• Work as part of a lean team with overlapping roles from prep to service to cleaning
• Prepare and cook menu items (breakfast, rice/noodle sets, sandwiches, snacks)
• Carry out daily mise en place — washing, cutting, marinating, portioning and storing ingredients
• Maintain consistency in taste, presentation and portion size
• Assist in catering preparation and packing for tenant events when required
• Guide service crew and support cashier duties during short-handed periods
• Ensure cleanliness and hygiene of kitchen, chiller, and equipment

ALP, an innovative firm specializing in logistics property development, is seeking a Junior Chef (Cafe Kitchen) to support our growing operations in Bukit Raja, Malaysia. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, supporting daily food preparation, kitchen prep, menu development, and other business needs.

Internally, this role works closely with the Client Service team to support tenants' needs and assist with catering and event needs.

What you will do…

• Support daily food preparation and cooking in a small café kitchen serving warehouse tenants and walk-in customers
• Work as part of a lean team where every crew member handles multiple functions, from prep to service to cleaning
• Prepare and cook menu items (all-day breakfast, rice/noodle sets, sandwiches, snacks) according to standard recipes and portioning
• Carry out daily mise en place — washing, cutting, marinating, portioning and storing ingredients
• Maintain consistency in taste, presentation and portion size for every order
• Assist in plating and ensure food is served within the expected turnaround time during peak hours (breakfast and lunch)
• Monitor stock levels of kitchen ingredients and inform the supervisor/ manager for replenishment
• Receive and check incoming deliveries against orders for quantity, freshness and expiry
• Practice FIFO (First In, First Out) storage and proper labelling to minimize wastage
• Record daily wastage and assist in controlling food cost
• Keep the kitchen, chiller, freezer, equipment and work area clean and always sanitized
• Comply with food safety, hygiene and workplace safety standards set by the company and local authorities
• Work with the manager in crafting new menu items, seasonal specials and catering orders
• Assist in catering preparation and packing for tenant events when required
• Guide and work with service crew in supporting the preparation and cooking of meals
• Take on service or cashier support duties during short-handed periods, if need be
• Perform any other duties assigned by the manager

What skills are required…

• SPM or equivalent; certificate/diploma in Culinary Arts, F&B or Hospitality is an advantage
• Minimum 1–2 years of kitchen experience in a café, restaurant, hotel or catering outlet.
• Valid Food Handler Training Certificate (Sijil Latihan Pengendali Makanan) recognised by the Ministry of Health Malaysia
• Typhoid vaccination (suntikan anti-tifoid) as required under the Food Hygiene Regulations 2009
• Able to converse in Bahasa Malaysia; basic English is an advantage
