Job summary

MH Theme Design Sdn Bhd is seeking a Junior BIM Operator to support our Cheras, Kuala Lumpur design team. You will create and manage BIM models, develop architectural drawings, and coordinate with architects and engineers to ensure accurate project delivery.

The role offers full-time employment with opportunities to learn BIM coordination workflows and contribute to diverse architectural projects using cutting-edge BIM technology.

Qualifications

• Diploma or degree in Architecture, Architectural Technology, or related design.
• Proficiency in BIM software, particularly Revit, ArchiCAD, or comparable platforms.
• Strong understanding of architectural drawing standards and conventions.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD is an additional advantage.

Responsibilities

• Create and maintain accurate Building Information Models using BIM software (Revit/ArchiCAD or similar).
• Develop and coordinate architectural drawings, plans, sections, and elevations within BIM.
• Collaborate with architects, engineers, and design professionals to integrate project requirements into the BIM model.
• Extract and produce construction drawings, schedules, and specifications from the BIM model.
• Perform quality checks on BIM models to ensure accuracy and compliance with standards.
• Participate in clash detection and resolution to identify conflicts between building systems.
• Update BIM models in response to design changes and client feedback.
• Assist in preparing BIM documentation and technical reports for stakeholders.
• Support development and maintenance of BIM libraries, templates, and standards.
• Liaise with project teams to gather information and communicate BIM updates.

About the role

MH Theme Design Sdn Bhd is seeking a talented Junior BIM Operator to join our Design & Architecture team. This is a full-time position based in our Cheras, Kuala Lumpur office. As a Junior BIM Operator, you will play a crucial role in supporting our architectural and design projects by creating, managing, and coordinating Building Information Models. You will work alongside experienced architects and design professionals to ensure accurate and efficient project delivery through advanced BIM technology. This role offers an excellent opportunity for early-career professionals to develop expertise in architectural drafting and BIM coordination whilst contributing meaningfully to innovative design solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Create and maintain accurate Building Information Models using industry-standard BIM software such as Revit, ArchiCAD, or similar platforms
• Develop and coordinate architectural drawings, plans, sections, and elevations within the BIM environment
• Collaborate with architects, engineers, and other design professionals to integrate project requirements into the BIM model
• Extract and produce construction drawings, schedules, and specifications from the BIM model
• Perform quality checks on BIM models to ensure accuracy, consistency, and compliance with project standards
• Participate in clash detection and resolution to identify conflicts between building systems
• Update and revise BIM models in response to design changes and client feedback

• Diploma or degree in Architecture, Architectural Technology, or a related design discipline
• Proficiency in BIM software, particularly Revit, ArchiCAD, or comparable platforms
• Strong understanding of architectural drawing standards and conventions
• Solid knowledge of architectural design principles and construction practices
• Excellent attention to detail with the ability to produce accurate technical drawings
• Proficiency in CAD software such as AutoCAD as an additional advantage
• Strong communication and teamwork skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across disciplines
• Problem-solving mindset with the capability to identify and resolve design and coordination issues
• Familiarity with project management and BIM coordination workflows
