Job summary

Surbana Jurong Malaysia Sdn Bhd is seeking an experienced BIM Architect to lead BIM modelling on local and regional projects from our Global Design Center in Kuala Lumpur. You will develop 3D/2D models, coordinate with multidisciplinary teams and ensure model accuracy and standards are followed.

The role involves mentoring junior BIM Modelers, producing project outputs, and maintaining BIM models across projects. 1-year contract with on-site work at Mid Valley, KL.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's/1st degree in Architecture with 5 years BIM modelling and coordination experience.
• Proficient in Revit, Navisworks and AutoCAD; Advance/Expert Revit certification is advantageous.
• Rhino/Grasshopper and Python scripting knowledge are a plus.
• Strong communication and ability to work with regional project teams.
• Immediate availability is advantageous.

We are seeking talented and driven candidates to join an established team working on local and regional projects. Your responsibilities will involve production and documentation responsibilities as part of our Global Design Center.

Responsibilities:

Lead modelling efforts on BIM projects while supporting the BIM Coordinator and Project Delivery Team(s) in day-to-day BIM implementation activities.

Develop 3D/2D dimensional models required for drawing preparation, coordination, clash reporting and presentations, aligned with the project LOD requirements and modelling standards.

Collaborate with architects, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure model accuracy and completeness.

Production of project output and ownership of model information.

Maintain and update BIM models.

Implement BIM standards, processes, and workflows to improve efficiency and accuracy.

Train and mentor junior BIM Modelers to ensure they are equipped to handle complex projects.

Job Specification

You must have a minimum Bachelor's/1st degree in Architecture, with 5 years experience in BIM Architecture modelling and coordination work.

Highly proficient in BIM softwares such as Revit, Navisworks and AutoCAD, with “Advance/Expert” Revit certification.

Knowledge in Rhino, Grasshopper, Python and/or other parametric scripting tools are advantageous.

Possess strong initiative and ability to work effectively both independently and within a team environment.

Demonstrate excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills. Experience working with cross-border or regional project delivery teams is an advantage.

Good planning and organisation skills in managing modelling and documentation work.

Immediate availability is advantageous.
