Job summary

Berjaya Starbucks Coffee Company Sdn Bhd in Malaysia is seeking an Accounting Officer to perform a range of accounting activities in line with accounting principles and regulatory requirements, helping to control the organization’s financial resources and ensure compliance with laws and reporting standards.

You will update invoices and ledgers, reconcile accounts, prepare financial reports for senior management, maintain fixed assets records, and provide accounting guidance within the team.

Qualifications

• Diploma or degree in accounting or professional certificate required.
• ACCA qualifications are highly preferred.
• Minimum 1 year of accounting experience.
• Detail-oriented and organized with good time management.
• Effective written and verbal communication.
• Mandarin proficiency considered an added advantage.

Responsibilities

• Updates invoices and ledger entries in ACCPAC according to accounting principles.
• Reconciles accounts, posts journal entries, and maintains general ledger.
• Prepares financial reports and statements for management decisions.
• Records depreciation and fixed assets, and monitors asset registers.
• Reconciles creditor statements before payments; conducts store audits.
• Provides technical accounting guidance within the team.
