Job summary

Haya Gold & Jewellery Sdn. Bhd. in Sandakan invites applications for an accounting role to manage daily transactions, AP/AR, GL, and assist with payroll and audits.

You will work closely with management on retail operations and gold inventory control. The ideal candidate holds a Diploma or Degree in Accounting or Finance, is proficient in Excel, and familiar with SQL/AutoCount/UBS/Xero. Qualifications

• Diploma or degree in accounting/finance or related field.
• Fresh graduates welcome; prior accounting experience preferred.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel.
• Experience with SQL/AutoCount/UBS/Xero is an advantage.
• Strong numerical and analytical skills.
• Detail-oriented, organised and responsible.
• Able to work independently and meet deadlines.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Handle daily accounting transactions and maintain accurate financial records.
• Assist with full set of accounts including AP, AR and General Ledger.
• Prepare invoices, payment vouchers, receipts and other accounting documents.
• Perform bank reconciliation and monitor company transactions.
• Record and reconcile daily sales and purchases.
• Monitor gold inventory, stock movement and stock valuation.
• Prepare monthly accounting reports and financial summaries.
• Monitor accounts payable and receivable.
• Assist with payroll and staff-related accounting matters.
• Prepare documents required for audit and tax purposes.
