Job summary

Jora Malaysia is seeking a Java Developer for an on-site 12-month contract in Petaling Jaya, Selangor. You will design, develop and maintain Java-based applications, collaborating with technical teams and stakeholders.

The role requires 2–4 years of Java experience, proficiency with Spring Boot and Spring MVC, and a solid understanding of microservices and RESTful APIs. On-site work with a 1-year contract, extension or conversion based on performance.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in any field.
• 2–4 years of professional Java development experience.
• Strong hands-on experience with Spring Boot and Spring MVC.
• Good understanding of microservices architecture and distributed systems.
• Familiarity with middleware technologies.
• Experience with relational databases (MySQL/Oracle).
• Good understanding of REST APIs and backend development.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and maintain Java-based applications and backend services.
• Develop backend solutions using Java, Spring Boot, and Spring MVC.
• Participate in the design and development of microservices and distributed applications.
• Develop and integrate RESTful APIs and backend services.
• Work with relational databases such as MySQL and Oracle for application development and data management.
• Troubleshoot application issues, identify root causes, and implement effective solutions.
• Participate in code reviews and ensure adherence to development standards and best practices.
• Support application performance analysis, optimization, and performance tuning activities.
• Collaborate with developers, technical teams, and business stakeholders throughout the software development lifecycle.
• Support application deployment and CI/CD activities as required.
