Job summary

Cisco Systems Malaysia is seeking a Software Consulting Engineer who speaks Japanese to partner with Customer Engagement, Sales, Support, and engineering teams. You will design, deploy, and optimize software-based solutions that extend Cisco products into customer environments, enabling seamless integration with third-party systems.

The role emphasizes hands-on software delivery, automation, and the use of AI tools to improve efficiency.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree plus 5 years of related experience, or higher degrees with relevant work.
Professional level certification (e.g., CCNP) or equivalent certification expected.
Working knowledge of software programmability, automation, orchestration, virtualization, Agile, and DevOps.
Ability to explain complex integration concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Experience collaborating across teams, vendors, and partners.

Responsibilities

Work on advanced software solutions and contribute to strategic projects.
Grow expertise across Cisco products, deepening knowledge in one architecture domain.
Engage directly with customers, building trust and relating solutions to business priorities.
Support Executive Briefings and QBRs, refining deliverables and approaches.
Guide pilot implementations and integration work for advanced use cases.
Develop consulting recommendations on middleware prototypes and automation frames.
Leverage Cisco AI tools to improve efficiency in deliverables and migrations.
Create and review project deliverables aligned to CX standards.
