Eastwood Valley Golf & Country Club seeks an IT Technician to provide daily support and maintenance for the resort's computer systems, network, Wi‑Fi, software and hardware across all departments.
You will install, configure and troubleshoot IT equipment, assist with backups and security, and support events with AV setups. Hospitality experience is a plus; shift work may be required.
To provide daily technical support and maintenance for the resort's computer systems, network, Wi-Fi, software, hardware and other IT-related equipment. The IT Technician is responsible for ensuring that all operational systems remain functional, secure and available to support hotel, golf, F&B, banquet and administrative operations.
Provide daily technical support to all departments, including Front Office, F&B, Kitchen, Banquet, Golf, Sales, Finance, HR and Administration.
Install, configure, maintain and troubleshoot desktop computers, laptops, printers, scanners, photocopiers, hotel PMS and POS systems, office software and email accounts, internet, Wi-Fi and network connections, servers, switches, routers and network points, door-lock and access-control systems, CCTV system and recording equipment, PABX, telephones and communication equipment, and payment terminals.
Respond promptly to system breakdowns and IT support requests to minimise disruption to hotel and resort operations.
Carry out routine inspections and preventive maintenance on all IT equipment and systems.
Support banquet functions, meetings and events involving projectors, screens, sound systems, internet access and other audio-visual equipment.
Monitor network performance, internet connectivity, system backups, antivirus protection and software updates.
Maintain proper records of IT assets, equipment location, serial numbers, software licences, repairs and replacements.
Set up user accounts, passwords and access permissions according to management approval.
Protect company data and maintain strict confidentiality of guest, employee and business information.
Assist in data backup and system recovery during system failure or emergency situations.
Diploma or Certificate in Information Technology, Computer Science, Networking or a related field.
At least one year of relevant experience; experience in a hotel, resort or hospitality environment is an advantage.
Basic knowledge of computer hardware, Windows operating systems, networking, Wi-Fi, printers and software troubleshooting.
Knowledge of hotel PMS, POS, CCTV, door-lock systems and audio-visual equipment is an added advantage.
Able to identify technical problems and carry out basic repairs independently.
Good communication and interpersonal skills.
Able to work under pressure and respond quickly to operational emergencies.
Willing to work shifts, weekends, public holidays or provide on-call support when required.
Must be responsible, trustworthy, organised and service-oriented.
