Job summary

TP is looking for a dedicated IT intern in Kuala Lumpur to provide first-level support for hardware and software, and to help troubleshoot desktops, laptops, printers, and peripherals. You will assist with installing, configuring, and maintaining computer systems.

You will also help with user accounts, incident tracking, and escalation of complex issues while learning in a fast-paced environment. This is a full-time 6-month internship with immediate availability.

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing a Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
• Able to commit to a full-time 6-month internship.
• Immediate / ASAP availability is preferred.
• Basic knowledge of Windows operating systems, computer hardware, networking, and troubleshooting.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Good communication and customer-service skills.
• Willing to learn and work in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Provide first-level IT support to employees for hardware and software-related issues.
• Assist with troubleshooting desktops, laptops, printers, peripherals, and other IT equipment.
• Support installation, configuration, and maintenance of computer hardware and software.
• Assist with user account setup, access requests, and basic IT system support.
• Perform hardware and software inventory and asset tracking.
• Support IT equipment deployment, collection, and replacement.
• Assist in diagnosing and resolving technical issues within agreed timelines.
• Maintain proper documentation of IT incidents, requests, and resolutions.
• Escalate complex technical issues to the relevant IT teams when required.
• Support ad-hoc IT projects and daily IT operations.
