The IT Support Executive reports to the IT Lead.
General Overview
The IT Support Executive is responsible for providing technical support to users of the organization's IT infrastructure. This includes troubleshooting problems, resolving incidents, and providing training to users.
Key Responsibilities
Operations
- Software and applications: Work with IT Lead to ensure that the school's software and applications are up to date and that they are used effectively. This includes tasks such as installing new software, troubleshooting problems, and ensuring that the school has the right licenses.
- End-user devices:Work with IT Lead to ensure that the school's end-user devices are up and running and that they are secure. This includes tasks such as troubleshooting problems, maintaining the devices, and ensuring that the school has the right security measures in place.
- Exam Duty: assist in various assessment for device, account setup and provide technical support during the actual event.
- Audio visual system in classes, halls and meeting spaces: Work together with team members to ensure that the school's audio-visual system is up and running and that it is used effectively. This includes tasks such as troubleshooting problems, maintaining the equipment, and training staff on how to use the system.
- 3D printer support. Manage school’s 3d printer by attending to printing request, filament stock as well as maintenance of the printer.
Asset Management
- Work with team members to manage the inventory of IT equipment, managing the warranty as well as handling end of lifecycle of the equipment.
- work with the vendor for any repair and warranty claims. It includes gathering the information about the problem, update the issue in the system, contacting the vendor, obtaining the repair cost, submit the request for repair approval, monitor and follow up on the repair status and return the device to the owner after the repair.
Relationships
- Establish and maintain working relationships with suppliers, consultants and with other schools by attending industry events or conferences to meet with potentials suppliers, consultants and other schools.
Helpdesk
- Manage the helpdesk system by monitoring the ticket constantly.
- Provide 1st and 2nd level support to end users
- Attend to the walk-in support request by teachers, parents and students
Systems
- Apple Platform: Manage Apple School Manager & Mosyle to manage the Apple devices owned by the school.
- SmartCard System: Overlook the SmartCard system and attend to the technical issue of the system encounter by vendor, staff, parents and students.
- Education subscription – Seesaw, Koobits , Bug Club, Writer toolbox, Wawayaya, and all other app: Work with team member to manage the platform. It included account creations, solving technical issues encountered by students, teachers and parents as well as performing annual rollover.
- Signages System: Manage school’s signages system by ensuring all signage hardware are working fine, uploading the content and removing expired content. It also includes configuring the system and preparing the layout.
- In house system: Customise, built, manage and maintain the code for our in house system.
- Report Management: customise or built iSAMS reports
- Work with the team in setting up accounts and devices for new staff and students.
Other responsibilities
- Stay up to date on the latest IT trends and technology by studying industry publications, attending events and conferences as well as taking courses and training.
- Any other duties as and when required.
REQUIREMENTS
- Candidate should ideally possess at least a Diploma or bachelor's degree in information technology, computer science, or a related field.
- Required language(s): English, Bahasa Malaysia,
- Required technical skills: strong understanding of IT concepts and technologies.
- Required soft skills: communication, problem-solving and decision-making skills
- Ideally, a minimum of two years of working experience in the related field is required for this position.
- Able to work proactively, independently and with a minimum of supervision.
- Is open to continuous learning.
