Job summary

Jora Malaysia is seeking an experienced Head of IT to lead the organisation's overall IT function and technology strategy. The role focuses on reliable IT operations, digital transformation, infrastructure modernisation, cybersecurity, and business applications aligned with business objectives.

The successful candidate will drive technology initiatives across hybrid/cloud environments, manage budgets, vendors, and a growing IT team while engaging with senior leadership.

Qualifications

• 15+ years of progressive IT experience
• 5+ years in Head of IT / IT Director roles
• Bachelor's degree in IT, CS, IS, Engineering or related discipline

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute the organisation's IT strategy and technology roadmap
• Align IT initiatives with business objectives and growth plans
• Advise senior management on technology investments, risks, opportunities, and emerging technologies
• Establish IT policies, standards, governance, and operating procedures
• Oversee enterprise infrastructure including servers, networks, storage, virtualization, cloud, databases, endpoints, and data centres
• Ensure high availability, reliability, performance, and scalability of IT systems
• Drive infrastructure modernisation and hybrid/cloud adoption
• Establish and maintain enterprise cybersecurity policies, controls, and standards
• Lead technology transformation, automation, cloud migration, and process improvement initiatives
• Lead, mentor, and develop the IT team
