Job summary

Tentacle Technologies seeks an experienced IT Project Manager to support a Cybersecurity project in a large-scale IT environment, onsite in Kuala Lumpur. You will ensure requirements are gathered, deployments run smoothly, and handovers to Security Operations are effective.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years in IT and security-focused deployments, strong Windows/AD and Unix knowledge, and excellent communication and analytical skills. CISSP/CISM/CEH are a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in IT or information systems and at least 5 years of relevant experience.
• Experience in large-scale IT environments with focus on information security and deployment.
• Strong knowledge of Windows/AD and Unix-based systems; TCP/IP and OSI model familiarity.
• Experience deploying and supporting endpoint security tools; knowledge of best practices.
• Excellent communication, analytical and technical abilities; ability to work independently.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Project Manager with technical requirement gathering, UAT, and deployments.
• Coordinate with vendors to resolve configuration challenges and meet deployment expectations.
• Define and document project policies; handover operations to Security Operations.
• Monitor compliance with information security policies; escalate issues when needed.
• Provide ongoing support and maintenance for information security devices and tools.
• Manage multiple deployment tasks concurrently while maintaining quality and timelines.

The Role

We are seeking an experienced IT Project Manager to support the deployment of a Cybersecurity project within a large-scale IT environment. In this onsite role based in Kuala Lumpur, you will play a key part in ensuring technical requirements are gathered accurately, deployments run smoothly, and security operations are handed over effectively. This is an excellent opportunity for a security-focused professional to take ownership of critical project deployment tasks in a dynamic, fast-paced setting.

What You'll Do

• Assist the Project Manager in performing technical requirement gathering, UAT, and technology deployment for a Cybersecurity project
• Coordinate with vendors to resolve technical configuration challenges and ensure deployment expectations are fully met
• Define and document policies and procedures related to the project, and perform operations handover to the Security Operations team
• Monitor compliance with information security policies and procedures, escalating issues to the relevant department manager
• Provide ongoing support and maintenance for information security devices, systems, and tools as required
• Manage multiple project deployment tasks concurrently while maintaining quality and timelines

What We're Looking For

• Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology, Information Systems, or equivalent experience (minimum 5 years)
• Minimum 5 years of experience in a large-scale IT environment with a focus on Information Security and project deployment
• Strong knowledge of Windows/Active Directory and/or Unix-based systems, and understanding of TCP/IP and the OSI Seven Layer Model
• Proven experience deploying and supporting endpoint security tools, with solid knowledge of security best practices
• Excellent oral and written communication skills, with strong analytical and technical abilities
• Security industry certifications such as CISSP, CISM, or CEH are an advantage
• Ability to work independently, manage pressure, and build effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders
