Job summary

Brocent Cloud Service Co., Limited in Malaysia seeks an on-site IT O&M engineer to maintain servers and network gear at the IDC site, ensuring uptime and performance.

You will deploy servers, handle relocations on the same campus, manage assets, and assist with network fault diagnosis in coordination with NOC. Proficiency in Chinese is required.

This role emphasizes hands-on operations, safety compliance, and teamwork with operators and internal teams.

Qualifications

• 3+ years PC server maintenance experience.
• Linux server configuration and troubleshooting (1+ year).
• Familiar with TCP/IP, switching and routing protocols.
• Experience with network devices: switches, routers, firewalls.
• Ability to guide junior engineers in server and Linux diagnostics.
• Holder of at least one mid-level network certification (Cisco/H3C/Huawei).
• Proficient in Chinese.

Job description

2. Proficient in PC server configuration and architecture; at least 3 years of PC server maintenance experience.

3. Basic knowledge of SXM-architecture GPU server hardware.

4. Familiar with Linux configuration and troubleshooting; at least 1 year of Linux maintenance experience.

5. Able to independently diagnose and repair PC servers and Linux systems.

6. Capable of guiding junior engineers in PC server and Linux system diagnostics.

7. Familiar with TCP/IP protocol, network switching and routing protocols.

8. Knowledge of mainstream network equipment (switches, routers, firewalls, etc.).

9. Able to guide junior engineers in network device OS installation and configuration import.

10. Capable of complex fault diagnosis and troubleshooting of mainstream network equipment (Cisco, H3C, Huawei).

11. At least 3 years of network equipment O&M experience.

12. Hold at least one mid-level network certification from a mainstream vendor (e.g., Cisco, H3C, Huawei).

13. Knowledge of IDC power distribution and cooling basics; basic knowledge of IDC operations and data center audit.

14. Proficient in Chinese
