Job summary

Spruson & Ferguson Asia in Kuala Lumpur is seeking an Infrastructure Specialist to join our Infrastructure Team to manage day-to-day network and infrastructure operations, as well as level one and two help desk support and some project tasks.

The scope includes all infrastructure used by our regional offices, such as networks, servers, databases, devices, user desktops/laptops, virtualization, phone system, email, etc.

Qualifications

• Minimum Diploma/Tertiary in IT/CS.
• 4–5 years hands-on IT infrastructure and support experience.
• Experience with Microsoft 365 and virtualization platforms.
• Knowledge of cloud services, especially Azure and AWS.
• Experience with IT operational and help desk processes.
• Able to work independently and in a team; strong communication.
• Interest in IT security and regional work is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provide end user support for day-to-day PC usage (applications and infra).
• Serve as a point of contact for internal users via the support system for infra/network issues.
• Ensure operational and change processes and architecture principles are followed.
• Promote preventative maintenance of infrastructure.
• Responsible for patches, monitoring and batch jobs.
• Assist on projects and enable transition to BAU support.
• Collaborate with regional teams to drive global program rollouts.
• May be required to work after hours/weekends as needed.

The Opportunity

We are seeking an Infrastructure Specialist to join our Infrastructure Team to manage the day to day operations of our network and infrastructure, as well as level one & two help desk support and some project related tasks. The scope includes all infrastructure used by our regional offices, such as networks, servers, databases, devices, user desktops/laptops, virtualisation, phone system, email, etc.

What You Do

• Provide end user support for day to day PC usage (both applications and infrastructure)
• Serve as a point of contact for internal users seeking technical assistance over the support ticketing system with regards to Infrastructure and Network related issues
• Ensure operational and change processes and architecture principles are being followed strictly
• Actively promote and plan for preventative maintenance of infrastructure
• Responsible for systems patches, infrastructure monitoring and batch jobs
• Assist on projects ensuring the transition from project to BAU support, identifying operational support requirements for new systems/system changes, identify required resources for projects/change requests and ensure consistency in the way IT changes are executed
• Work in close collaboration with regional teams to implement and drive global program rollouts.
• May be required to work after hours and weekends on an ad hoc basis depending on business requirements

What You Bring

• Minimum Diploma/Tertiary or professional qualification in Information Technology/Computer Science
• Minimum 4–5 years of hands‑on experience in IT infrastructure/system support with expertise in Windows environments, networking, and virtualization
• Prior experience with Microsoft 365 (O365) and virtualization platforms is required
• Comprehensive knowledge of cloud services, particularly Azure and AWS, with practical implementation experience.
• Experience in IT operational processes, Help Desk processes and Infrastructure maintenance
• Must be comfortable working in a team-based environment as well as being able to work independently.
• Demonstrated collaborative working style, with good interpersonal and excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
• Knowledge in IT Security and working in a regional role would be advantageous.
• Being self‑motivated and able to work with minimal supervision is important in this role
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving mindset with the capacity to assess situations and act appropriately
