Job summary

Vipicks Resources Sdn Bhd is seeking a Senior Infrastructure Project Lead to drive IT infrastructure initiatives across business units. The role requires credibility-building, handling multiple streams, and a technical background in complex environments.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5+ years of hands on infrastructure projects experience.
• Experience with complex infrastructure environments.
• Knowledge of critical path and the right questions to ask.
• Excellent analytical and observation skills.
• Experience with Windows/Unix OS, Oracle Middleware and Oracle Database.

Responsibilities

• Assess project requirements and recommend suitable IT components and timeframes.
• Analyse options and select the most suitable, economically feasible.
• Prepare cost estimates of IT infrastructure.
• Monitor budget to ensure limits are not breached.
• Formulate procedures for optimum IT infrastructure utilization.
• Collaborate with application teams, vendors and suppliers to meet delivery.
• Plan and supervise progress of IT infrastructure projects.
• Ensure completion within the given timeframe.

This role is responsible for the delivery of IT project initiatives across business teams and operations groups.

This role requires solid infrastructure skills to gain credibility and manage multiple work streams and complex projects. You must have a technical background and understand infrastructure underpinnings of a complex environment

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Assessing the requirements of the project and recommending suitable IT components and timeframe
• Analysing different options and recommending the most suitable for the project economically feasible
• Prepare cost estimates of IT infrastructure
• Always keep a check on the budget and ensure that budget limits are not breached
• Formulating procedures and policies for optimum utilization of IT infrastructure resources in the company
• Work closely with application team, vendors and suppliers to meet the project delivery
• Planning and supervising progress of IT infrastructure projects in the company
• Making sure that the infrastructure development project is completed within the given time frame

Qualifications

Education

• Bachelor’s Degree Computer Science; or equivalent work experience

Experience

• Minimum 5+ years of hands on infrastructure projects experience
• Excellent knowledge about all aspects of information technology specifically with complex infrastructure environments
• knowledge of building a critical path and understanding the right questions to ask
• Excellent analytical and observation skills
• knowledge of Operating System (Windows/Unix), Oracle Midddleware Technology (Oracle Middleware) and Oracle Database.
• Good communication and negotiation skills
