Job summary

IRIS Corporation Berhad in Kuala Lumpur is offering three IT Infrastructure Intern positions in the MIS Department for a 4 to 6 month period. This hands-on role provides exposure to data centre operations, system migrations, updates, upgrades, performance improvements and troubleshooting.

Interns work with the MIS/IT team on day-to-day infrastructure tasks, gain practical experience in a professional IT environment, and receive RM800 monthly allowance plus free lunch and parking.

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing final semester in information tech field.
• Basic understanding of IT infrastructure, networking, servers, operating systems, or data centre environments.

Responsibilities

IT Infrastructure Intern (MIS Department)

We are looking for 3 motivated and enthusiastic IT Interns to join our MIS Department for duration of 4 to 6 months. This internship provides hands-on exposure to IT infrastructure and data centre operations, including system migration, updates, upgrades, performance improvement, and troubleshooting.

You will work closely with the MIS/IT team to support day-to-day infrastructure operations and gain practical experience in a professional IT environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in data centre engineering and IT infrastructure tasks.
• Support system migration, implementation, updates, and upgrades.
• Assist with infrastructure performance monitoring and improvement.
• Perform basic troubleshooting and problem resolution for IT infrastructure issues.
• Support system and infrastructure maintenance activities.
• Assist the MIS team with other IT-related projects and tasks as required.
• Maintain proper documentation of IT infrastructure activities and procedures.

Requirements

• Currently pursuing your last semester, a Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
• Basic understanding of IT infrastructure, networking, servers, operating systems, or data centre environments.
• Strong interest in IT infrastructure and technical operations.
• Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Willingness to learn and work as part of a team.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Able to commit to the required internship period.
