Job summary
Grand Venture Technology is seeking an IT professional to manage virtual environments (VMware/Hyper-V) and optimize virtual infrastructure for high availability in a Malaysia-based operation. The role includes hardware/software setup, LAN/WAN management, and assisting deployment of new technologies.
The ideal candidate has 2+ years of IT experience, strong Windows skills, Fortinet firewall knowledge, and familiarity with ERP support; strong troubleshooting and multitasking abilities are
Qualifications
- Requires Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science/IT or equivalent.
- Minimum 2 years of IT experience in a corporate environment.
- Knowledge of Windows platform and Fortinet firewall.
- Ability to convey technical concepts clearly to users and colleagues.
- Experience with ERP support is a plus.
Responsibilities
- Manage virtual environments using VMware and Hyper‑V.
- Optimize and troubleshoot virtual infrastructure for high availability and performance.
- Provide troubleshooting for hardware, software, and network issues; respond to help desk requests.
- Perform regular updates and backups to maintain system integrity.
- Set up and configure new hardware/software; assist in deploying new tech.
- Assist in LAN/WAN management; ensure network security and performance.
- Experience with M365, Azure, Exchange Online; knowledge of TCP/IP routing/switching.
- Support IT software implementations and technology upgrades.
