Job summary

BI Technologies Corporation Sdn Bhd in Kuantan, Pahang, is seeking an IT Engineer (MES & SAP) on a full-time basis to bridge our MES and ERP infrastructure, supporting manufacturing and business operations.

You will install, configure, monitor, and upgrade MES platforms and SAP modules; troubleshoot issues; gather requirements with stakeholders; and document configurations, security, and compliance across the IT landscape.

Qualifications

• Experience with MES and SAP in manufacturing environments.
• Strong skills in system administration: install, configure, maintain.
• understanding of manufacturing processes and how MES/ERP support operations.
• Experience with troubleshooting, diagnostics, and performance tuning.
• SQL/database management experience desirable.
• Networking, server infrastructure, and systems integration knowledge.
• Good problem-solving and communication skills.
• Certifications such as SAP or CompTIA are advantageous.

About the role

We are seeking an IT Engineer (MES & SAP) to join BI Technologies Corporation Sdn Bhd on a full-time basis in Kuantan, Pahang. This is a critical technical position that bridges our manufacturing execution systems and enterprise resource planning infrastructure. You will play a vital role in ensuring the seamless operation of our MES and SAP systems, supporting our manufacturing and business operations. This position offers the opportunity to work with cutting-edge enterprise technology and make a direct impact on operational efficiency across the organisation.

Key responsibilities

• Install, configure, and maintain Manufacturing Execution System (MES) platforms and SAP modules to ensure optimal performance and availability
• Provide technical support and troubleshooting for MES and SAP users across the organisation, responding promptly to reported issues and system incidents
• Monitor system performance, identify bottlenecks, and implement solutions to enhance system reliability and efficiency
• Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather requirements and assist in the design and implementation of system enhancements and customisations
• Document system configurations, processes, and user procedures to maintain comprehensive technical knowledge repositories
• Conduct regular system updates, patches, and upgrades whilst minimising downtime and business disruption
• Participate in system testing and quality assurance activities to ensure solutions meet business requirements
• Liaise with external vendors and support teams to resolve complex technical issues and ensure vendor service level agreements are met
• Maintain system security protocols and ensure compliance with data protection and industry standards

What we're looking for

• Proven experience working with MES systems and SAP enterprise solutions in a manufacturing or industrial environment
• Strong technical knowledge of system administration, including installation, configuration, and maintenance of enterprise software
• Solid understanding of manufacturing processes and how MES and ERP systems support operational workflows
• Experience with system troubleshooting, diagnostics, and performance tuning
• Proficiency in database management and SQL is highly desirable
• Knowledge of networking, server infrastructure, and system integration
• Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to analyse complex technical issues and develop effective solutions
• Strong communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
• Relevant certifications such as SAP certification, CompTIA, or equivalent technical qualifications are advantageous
• A collaborative mindset with the ability to work effectively within IT teams and cross-functional departments
