Our client is seeking an IT Engineer to join their team!
This role offers the opportunity to lead end-to-end MES implementations, integrate shop-floor automation, and drive data‑led manufacturing improvements while supporting Industry 4.0 initiatives.
What you'll be doing?
- Lead MES implementations: Manage requirements gathering, system design, testing, deployment, user training and go-live support.
- Optimise MES modules: Enhance PMS, IPQC, Traceability, Kanban, Reporting/B2B, PC, LMS and WMS capabilities.
- Align manufacturing solutions: Ensure MES solutions support business objectives, manufacturing processes and quality requirements.
- Integrate automation systems: Coordinate MES connectivity with SFC, SCADA, HMI and PLC environments.
- Improve data visibility: Develop manufacturing reports, dashboards and KPIs to support informed decision‑making.
- Investigate root causes: Analyse production, quality, equipment and database data to resolve issues and identify improvements.
- Coordinate projects: Plan MES projects, manage resources and provide technical guidance to users and support teams.
- Support system performance: Monitor availability, resolve incidents and support preventive maintenance activities.
- Advance smart manufacturing: Evaluate emerging technologies and contribute to digital transformation and Industry 4.0 initiatives.
Who are they looking for?
- Relevant education: A Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Industrial Engineering, Automation Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering or a related field.
- MES experience: At least 3 years of experience in MES, manufacturing systems or industrial automation environments.
- Implementation leadership: Demonstrated experience leading full MES implementation projects through successful go‑live deployments.
- Manufacturing exposure: Experience in electronics, semiconductor, automotive or high‑volume manufacturing environments is preferred.
- Stakeholder coordination: Experience managing cross‑functional technical teams and stakeholders.
- MES expertise: Strong knowledge of MES architecture, manufacturing operations and the listed MES modules.
- Automation knowledge: Solid understanding of SFC, SCADA, HMI and PLC systems.
- Database capability: Proficiency in SQL databases such as Microsoft SQL Server, Oracle, MySQL or PostgreSQL.
- Analytical problem‑solving: Strong data analysis, troubleshooting and root‑cause investigation capabilities.
- Systems integration: Knowledge of ERP‑MES integration and manufacturing data exchange standards.
- Smart manufacturing awareness: Familiarity with Industry 4.0, IIoT and Smart Factory initiatives is preferred.
- Professional strengths: Strong project management, communication, coordination, process improvement, change management and technical documentation skills.
- Relevant certifications: MES vendor, Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, Industry 4.0 or Smart Manufacturing certifications are preferred.
