Job summary

PAYER Malaysia in Sungai Petani is seeking an IT Engineer to maintain, support, and improve the company’s IT infrastructure and production systems within a manufacturing setting. You will collaborate with HQ and China teams on SAP-related projects, manage servers and network gear, and ensure security and availability of IT services across on-premise and cloud platforms.

Experience in manufacturing environments is valued.

Qualifications

• Degree in Computer Science or Information Technology or related qualifications.
• Knowledge in maintaining Database (e.g. SQL Server).
• More than 3 years, preferably in manufacturing environment.
• Ability to interact at all levels.

Responsibilities

• Maintain, support, and improve IT infrastructure and production systems.
• Ensure high system availability and cybersecurity.
• Collaborate with HQ and sister companies in China to support SAP implementation projects.
• Manage and administer servers, printers, access door, SIP phone systems, network infrastructure, and end-user devices to ensure confidentiality, integrity, and availability of IT services.
• Provide continuous support for on-premise and cloud-based applications such as Microsoft 365, attendance systems, and web-based intranet applications.
• Perform computer maintenance, troubleshooting, and preventive support for hardware and software issues.
• Set up new user accounts and disable expired or terminated accounts in accordance with HR and IT requirements.
• Monitor system performance and perform regular backups and patch updates.
• Work with external vendors for system support, upgrades, and issue resolution.
• Maintain accurate documentation of IT systems, configurations, and procedures.
