Job summary

ELS Language Centres in Malaysia is seeking an IT / E-Learning Executive to support teaching and learning systems and improve the learning portal's functionality.

You will collaborate with teachers and the Academic Planning and Training Unit to develop videos and interactive materials, provide educator training, troubleshoot LMS and AV gear, and create user guides. Stay current with edtech trends and collect usage data to guide improvements.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with Academic Planning and teachers on academic initiatives, developing videos, interactive materials and assessments.
• Implement interactive web-based learning activities, simulations and tutorials.
• Provide training and support to educators on using technology in lesson planning and assessment.
• Troubleshoot issues with learning management systems, AV equipment and educational technologies.
• Create documentation and user guides for educational software and new technology rollouts.
• Work with web developers to improve the functionality, usability and accessibility of educational portals.
• Stay current on emerging educational technologies and recommend adoption based on needs.
• Collect feedback and usage data to evaluate effectiveness of initiatives.

Job description

The IT / E- Learning Executive reports directly to the Head of IT. He/She is responsible to help improve and update teaching and learning content, provide teaching and learning systems support, and implement learning portal’s functional improvements. This role will involve working closely with professional learning communities to enhance educational technology tools and resources.

Job Duties

Collaborate with Academic Planning and Training Unit and teachers on academic initiatives, participating in projects that involve the development of academic content and resources, including videos, interactive materials, and assessments

Implement interactive web-based learning activities, simulations, tutorials, and other digital learning objects and content

Provide training and support to educators on effectively utilising technology in lesson planning and content, curriculum delivery, and student assessment

Troubleshoot issues with learning management systems, audio-visual equipment, and other educational technologies

Create documentation and user guides for educational software programs and new technology rollouts

Work with web developers to improve functionality, usability, and accessibility of educational websites and portals

Assist in improving the organisation’s implementation of teaching and learning e-resource management

Stay current on emerging educational technologies and make recommendations for adoption based on needs

Collect feedback and usage data to evaluate effectiveness of educational technology initiatives

Other Duties

Perform other duties as may be assigned by the Director of Academic Planning and Training Unit, Head of IT or other Senior Management Team.
