Job summary

TechNext is seeking an IT Manager to own our technology stack in Penang, Malaysia. You’ll run the infrastructure and the Odoo platform, lead the technical delivery of Odoo projects for our clients, and provide DevOps support to Penang operations.

You’ll report to the General Manager, manage a small team, and coordinate with stakeholders across time zones while ensuring security, reliability and efficient IT operations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Information Technology.
• 5+ years IT experience, including 2+ years managing people or teams.
• Hands-on experience administering or implementing Odoo ERP.
• Practical DevOps experience: CI/CD pipelines, Git, Linux servers, and deploying and monitoring applications.
• Strong knowledge of network infrastructure, cloud platforms (AWS, Azure or Google Cloud) and cybersecurity practices.
• Clear communication with both technical and non-technical people, plus leadership skills.

Responsibilities

• Own IT infrastructure and security across the company.
• Lead the technical delivery of Odoo projects for clients and provide DevOps support.
• Manage and coach the Project Manager and AI Technical Sales Consultant.
• Provide technical guidance to all departments and prepare IT reports for the GM.
• Coordinate IT procurement and vendor management for hardware, software and hosting.
